Burn Permit

Burn Ban Lifted Effective October 1st.

Effective October 1st, the King County Fire Chief’s Association in coordination with the King County Fire Marshals is terminating the Burn Ban. The termination of the Burn Ban allows recreational and residential burning to resume per your local jurisdiction’s requirements. However, it’s important to note that most municipalities do not allow either residential burning year-round and/or require special permits.  For this reason, citizens are encouraged to know their local requirements for outdoor burning and maintain a fire safe environment

Duvall Fire offers free home vegetation debris burning permits for the residents of our district.  The permits are good for 30 days from application in the absence of a burn ban.

If you have access to a computer and printer you can apply and print online.  If you do not, you must apply in person at our headquarters station in Duvall.

In person permits are typically only issued during officer hours (Monday-Friday, 9:00AM-5:00PM).

To apply you must be within the district borders.  If you are not sure please verify here or contact us

Only recreational fires are allowed within the Duvall urban growth boundary (outlined in green on the district map).  No permit is required for these.
